The school's last full inspection was in: January 2013. (View Report)
I am delighted to be able to publish the final version of the report from our recent inspection by Ofsted. It highlights many outstanding features of the school with none of the judgements being anything less than ‘good’. I think it's fair to say that it is a very good report and accurately reflects where the school is at present. It is a resounding endorsement of the quality of provision and reflects the commitment of staff, governors and students in making the school what it is.
The inspectors picked up very quickly on the special atmosphere of the school, the shared vision, the exceptional quality of relationships and good discipline and the fact that overwhelming majority of students enjoy being here. The report gives warm praise for the standards achieved by students both in and out of the classroom, and speaks highly of them as learners and as mature, respectful, courteous, tolerant and well-rounded people with excellent attitudes - and rightly so. It also pays tribute to the enormous expertise and commitment of all the staff, again quite rightly, recognising that the provision for care, guidance and support is outstanding.
I would like to thank the parents who, at very short notice, completed the online Parent View questionnaire; their views were positive and greatly appreciated by the inspectors. The overwhelming support for the school from parents for its staff and students is greatly appreciated by us all here at Carre’s, and helps us to move forward together.
The inspection confirmed that the school is in very good shape and well-placed to secure further improvement in the coming years, with an excellent capacity for this within the leadership of the school, at all levels. We are not a complacent school and will look, with your support, to secure the improvements necessary to make us an outstanding school.
