Brief description of activities.

Students will undertake a variety of tasks designed to develop their understanding of Electronic Products.

To include:

• Designing and making Electronic Products
• Product evaluation
• Design task based on a real life need developing their knowledge of materials and components
• Use of CAD and ICT
• Investigation of sustainable design.

Graphic Products

Board Edexcel.

Brief description of activities

Students develop an application of knowledge, skills and understanding of Graphic Products.

To include:

• Designing and making a quality 3D Graphic Product.
• Use of ICT
• Use of graphical communication techniques
• Use of CAD CAM
• Investigation of sustainable design.

Resistant Materials

Board Edexcel.

Assessment 60% Coursework 40% Examination.( Two Papers )

Brief description of activities

Students will carry out a number of focused practical tasks to enhance knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques and the use of CAD/CAM.

To include:

• Introduction to design and manufacture
• Sustainable design
• Manufacturing quality products
• Technical aspects of design and manufacture
• CAD/Cam
• Production in quantity

Engineering Diploma
