Donations for Ukraine

Amid the destruction caused by the war in Ukraine, many people have been left without the necessities to survive after fleeing to escape the conflict. Therefore, the school community  organised a collection of items to try and provide some help and support for Ukrainian refugees.
A whole range of items have been donated including:
first aid supplies
dry foods such as pasta, rice, tinned food and baby food jars and tinned milk.
toiletries and sanitary products
clothing and thermal items for adults, children and babies, blankets and sleeping bags.
Baby bottles, thermal mugs, items for children (colouring books, pens, pencils and sweets), books, batteries and pet food.

Donations have been taken to a Lincolnshire collection point, where they will be packaged, transported and distributed.

It is heartening that so many students at Carre’s asked how they could help.

A big thank you to Mrs Blair for organising and transporting all the donations and for the use of her classroom.

Also, many thanks to all students/parents/carers and staff who have donated and assisted with sorting the donations.
