It is with mixed emotions that I am letting you know that at the end of this academic year, after over 18 years as Headteacher at Carre’s Grammar School, and 11 as the Executive Headteacher of the Robert Carre Trust, I have accepted a new opportunity within the Community Inclusive Trust as Director of Secondaries, a position that will allow me to support and strengthen secondary education across the Trust.
Our Year 10 students have been refining their design and manufacturing skills during DT lessons.
Sleaford’s annual Christmas Tree Festival returned to the Methodist Church on Northgate over the weekend of 29/30 November, coinciding once again with the bustling Sleaford Christmas Market.

Last month, the DfE released the 23/24 16-18 progression data. We are proud to announce that the Sleaford Joint Sixth Form is now one of the top-performing establishments in the country for the number of young people (aged 16-18) progressing into apprenticeships.
The Sleaford Joint Sixth Form continues to set the standard for collaborative post-16 education, uniting the co-educational sixth forms of Carre's Grammar School, St George’s Academy, and Kesteven & Sleaford High School.
We’re delighted to announce that Carre's Grammar School has been recognised in the top 10% of all FFT schools nationally for attendance during the 2024–25 academic year.
Reverend Philip Johnson delivered a whole school Remembrance Assembly honouring and remembering all who served, gave their lives and those who lived with the consequences of the outcome of war.
Those Old Carrensians who lost their lives in both world wars and more recent conflicts were also remembered, as Mr Holland, Deputy Headteacher and Old Carrensian, read the Roll of Honour.
